TWO: I have recently developed some wrinkles around my eyes (aka sleep-deprived-first-time-mom-smile-lines). So I'm looking for some serious eye cream, and considering buying one of these: Neutrogena Ageless Intensives Deep Wrinkle Eye Cream, Patricia Wexler M.d. Dermatology Intensive 3-in-1, Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye, Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment or Fresh Black Tea Age Delay Eye Concentrate. But I'd love to hear your favorites!
THREE: I finally finished watching the entire series of Gilmore Girls last week. I liked how the series ended but I'm sad it's over. I really hope the rumored revival comes on soon. (Also I couldn't stop thinking about how real life Rory married Pete from Mad Men!) In the meantime I started season 4 of VEEP.
FOUR: Violet still loves story time, which makes me SO happy. She helps turn the book pages -- cutest thing ever. And she is all about her interactive "touch and feel" books. She received new books for Christmas (and they don't drive me batty to read over and over again): The Gruffalo, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?, The Little Girl Who Lost Her Name. She also loves her LeapFrog Shapes and Sharing Picnic Basket, Stacking Rings, and First Blocks Shape Sorter set.
FIVE: I finished Mindy Kaling's new book Why Not Me and I really liked it. Next up on my reading list: The Love Affairs of Nathaniel P. / The Marriage of Opposites / The Martian / The Royal We

ReplyDeleteThat food looks SOO good!! I'm seriously hungry right now haha. I have tried that fresh Black Tea Age Delay eye cream and it is AMAZING. I seriously noticed a difference. I haven't used it in a long time though because it's a little out of my budget right now. :-/ Soo, in place of it I've been using Olay Regenerist eye serum and it's great. I have also noticed a difference. SO cute about Violet turning the pages of books too. Checking out those other books too!! Have a wonderful weekend! :-)

ReplyDeleteThe Martian is next on my list too! And yes! I love the Gilmore Girls. Part of me is weirded out that she is from Mad Men's Pete! And you have to keep me updated with the eye cream because I have noticed the same thing. Is there a magical potion that can erase my undereye bags too?

I'm loving all the mexican recipies! So tasty looking. Also I had no idea that Rory and Pete were married in real life! They're so cute together! I was disappointed in the way it ended so I'm really hoping that the Netflix season completes the show. You could really tell when Amy Sherman Pallidino stepped away.

Make sure and report back on the eye cream. I'm on the hunt. So far I've tried the Clinique all about eyes (unimpressed) and the Nourish Organic Renewing/Cooling Eye Treatment which I liked more, but really couldn't tell THAT much of a difference. AND The Royal We is the best "easy" book I read this year - you know, light, funny, plus I'm so fascinated by the actual royals - loved it!

ReplyDeleteI had a similar mexican casserole this week and it was seriously heavenly! We added eggs to eggs to ours which ended up being a nice touch :)
ReplyDeleteAs for the eye creams, while the Kiehls one is amazing for hydration it doesn't prevent or help with the appearance of wrinkles. I would look into SK II or Clarins!

so many people love the kiehl's avocado cream but it does zero for wrinkles. but it's great for hydration in the winter. i've used a bottle but wouldn't ever buy it again. i've seen the start of fine lines so i just started using the kiehl's wrinkle reducing eye cream (brown container). i can't say if it's good or not but i'll surely keep you updated. aside from that, i LOVE their overnight eye serum (blue tube). it's good bc you don't dip your finger in and increase the germ transfer (bc you squeeze it out). i know a lot of people like the fresh eye cream too!

ReplyDeleteI love that Fresh eye cream! I use it every morning and Clinique's Moisture Surge eye cream at night. And I had no idea that Rory married Pete from Mad Men!! So funny especially after they had a little thing on the show!
