ONE: We still haven't transitioned Vi out of her crib. She sleeps great at night and she isn't trying to climb out, so I don't really want to mess with it. But when she's ready for a "big girl" bed I already have her sheets picked out! I just bought a set of heart twin sheets and I love the rainbow and rocket ship prints too. Mamas, what do you recommend -- keeping your toddler in a crib with the toddler rail? or should we just switch her to a twin size mattress on the floor right away?

TWO: I've been helping H with a lot of outdoor yard work lately, and it'd be nice to have a baseball hat to keep the sun out of my eyes. I'm not into sports at all so I'd rather not get a hat with a team logo. Although, the light blue Cubs hat is cute...and I've been to Cubs games before that makes it ok right?

THREE: I keep finding super cute clothes for Vi -- thank you Gap reward points! She officially has a much better wardrobe than I do. Too bad she usually insists on wearing the same dress ALL the time. It's getting so bad that I have to hide some of her favorites.
FOUR: What have you guys been watching this summer? I'm loving this season of Younger (you can catch up on old episodes on Hulu or Amazon!). H and I are almost finished watching season two of Fargo. And I loved the last season of Veep!
FIVE: The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is finally open to everyone including non-cardholders (yah!!) I know there's a ton of sale posts out there, but here's what I purchased: adidas sneakers / striped top (I bought this top last year but I got paint all over it) / waterproof booties. And here's what's still on my wishlist: tie front sweater / a new bra! / a comfy cotton tunic for Fall / fresh sugar lip set / a lightweight plaid shirt for layering.

I love buying baby/toddler bedding so much. We waited until Hendrik turned 3 to transition, since he wasn't climbing out (and wasn't potty trained yet), and we were happy with that! Since we didn't need to use the crib for another baby we transitioned that into a toddler bed - handy because we didn't have to buy any other mattress at the moment, and also nice because he was used to the bed itself and only had to get used to the one side rail being a little different, rather than getting used to a whole new big bed.

Vi isn't climbing yet! So I think we're going to keep her in her crib for a little bit longer. and I love that hat!!

DeleteWe turned E's crib into a toddler bed in the spring. Next, up is a twin bed this Fall. Just do what feels right. Also, we love Gap Rewards!

DeleteI wear hats outside in the sun too. I have the pink adidas hat! I love it, but it does get dirty when I am doing yard work, so I use my darker colored ones outside now :) Happy Friday! Have a great weekend!

Deletei watched most of the first season of younger but need to catch up. love all of Vi's clothes! she's more fashionable than me for sure. i do a lot of outdoor work (i mow while KC does the weed eater thing) and i run outside on the weekends. i never used to wear a hat but i need to now - i don't want the extra sun and my face will actually swell and go all sorts of crazy so i need to keep it covered. all that being said, i totally just stole one of KC's that had a hole for a ponytail and now it's mine. ha. it's a chelsea hat, i don't know if you follow soccer. i've been to one game so it's totally fine ;)

DeleteThose new sheets are all so adorable! We transitioned R a few months ago because it seemed like she was suddenly not napping or sleeping well at night. So out of fear that she would begin climbing out and hurting herself we decided to transition her and hope that she slept better and she did! She loved it! We just took the crib rail down and got a $20 foam roll rail thing off amazon. It works great and she loves her bed now!

DeleteLoving your Nordstrom finds! And we did the toddler rail on the crib FOREVER (like, until almost age four). Little Man was happy and slept well, and the transition to the big bed afterward was nothing!
